A 5 x 10 is often used for a room of boxes, small furniture, a compact mattress set, chairs, and seasonal items. The extra ten feet of depth makes it easier to organize a stack by category than a 5 x 5. It still works best when the load is light on wide furniture.
Picture a narrow hallway with storage along both sides, rather than a broad room. Tall, stable stacks and pieces that can stand on end use the available volume well. Keep a list of where items are loaded, because depth can hide boxes behind a front layer.

Load the back first and keep the front intentional
