What the planner does with your answers

The storage unit planner calculates on your device. It does not require an account, and the inventory answers you enter are not sent to StowGauge by the planner itself. If you use the packing checklist, its checked items may be saved only in your browser so the same device can restore your progress. When you open tasks from a planner result, that local progress is kept separate for that plan. It is not sent to StowGauge.

Share links

New share links put planner selections after #plan? in the URL fragment. Browsers do not include a URL fragment in the request sent to the hosting server, and StowGauge removes query parameters and fragments from page addresses sent to Google Analytics. Anyone who receives the complete link can still read and reopen those selections, so do not use planner fields for names, addresses, access codes, or other personal information.

StowGauge still accepts legacy share links that use URL query parameters. Those older values may be included in hosting request logs or other browser and network records before the page loads. Opening a legacy link does not send its planner values to Google Analytics through StowGauge's product events.

Operator demo settings

The configurable operator demo can save the facility name, brand color, selected unit sizes, rental button label, and rental destination in this browser. Those settings are not uploaded to StowGauge. An optional logo is shown only for the current browser session and is not saved. Use the demo's Reset action or clear browser data to remove saved settings.

A copied configured-demo link and the example rental handoff carry their settings in a URL fragment. The logo file is never included. If an operator enters a real third-party rental destination, opening that destination sends attribution and the recommended unit as query parameters to that provider; the provider handles that request under its own privacy practices.

Facility Fit Review requests

If an Operator requests a Facility Fit Review, StowGauge receives the contact name, business email, Operator name, public website, Facility-count range, website-change arrangement, optional size-decision example, and stated Paid Pilot interest submitted through the form. Do not submit renter, tenant, payment, access-code, or other sensitive information.

Cloudflare delivers the form and processes security signals through Turnstile to prevent abuse. The request is sent to [email protected] through the Zoho Mail API and is not written to a StowGauge lead or application database. To enforce rate limits and prevent duplicate email, StowGauge temporarily stores keyed, non-readable fingerprints of the request source and submission with timestamps and a request number. These security records do not contain the submitted fields and expire within 24 hours.

The submitted fields are not sent to Google Analytics or included in Decision Widget aggregate events. Inquiries that do not proceed to an active review, Pilot discussion, or other business relationship are normally deleted from the business mailbox within 90 days. Active correspondence and records may be retained longer where reasonably needed for the relationship, legal obligations, or dispute handling. Basic hosting information

Cloudflare hosts and delivers the production site and may process IP addresses, request details, security signals, and basic logs to deliver pages, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable. StowGauge does not use those logs to build renter profiles. Cloudflare's handling is governed by its own service terms and privacy information.

Analytics

After you allow optional analytics, StowGauge loads Google Analytics to understand page visits and the path from starting a plan to viewing a result, comparing sizes, completing a physical-fit check, sharing a plan, finishing move tasks, and opening the printable checklist from a guide. It may also collect anonymous usefulness feedback through fixed choices about whether a recommendation helped and whether local prices, physical fit, availability, or human review was missing. Product events use broad derived groups such as recommended unit, capacity status, volume band, and guide category. Page and referrer addresses are recorded without query parameters or fragments. StowGauge does not load Google Analytics before you allow it and does not send room selections, inventory item counts, measurements, share-link values, names, email addresses, addresses, or access details to Google Analytics.

The consent grants analytics storage only; Google's ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalization signals remain denied. Google Analytics may set analytics cookies such as _ga after consent. Google processes analytics information as StowGauge's analytics provider under Google's applicable terms and privacy practices.

Your browser controls

You can allow or decline optional analytics in the site's Privacy choices. The panel shows the current choice. Your choice is saved in this browser. When you withdraw consent, StowGauge tells Google Analytics that analytics storage is denied and attempts to remove accessible same-origin _ga analytics cookies. Browser settings or cookie scope may prevent complete removal, so you can also clear site data in your browser. The planner does not create an account, profile, or server-side calculation history.
